Oil furnace replacement on Long Island
Warm-air oil furnace getting old, noisy or unreliable? We come out, look at your system and ductwork, and give you a free, no-obligation written estimate.
Signs your furnace may be due
- It's old and needs repairs every winter.
- Some rooms are always cold, or the blower runs and runs.
- Soot around the registers, a smoky smell, or the burner keeps locking out.
- Your oil use keeps climbing for the same house.
None of these alone means you must replace it. Sometimes a tune-up or repair is the right answer, and we'll tell you so.
What we look at
- Your home's size, ductwork and how evenly it heats now.
- Your chimney or venting, your oil tank and the space around the furnace.
- How you make hot water today.
- Your timing and budget — if it's not urgent, plan it for the off-season.

Questions people ask
Should I repair my oil furnace or replace it?
It depends on its age, how often it breaks down, and whether parts are still easy to get. We look at it and tell you honestly. If a repair or a tune-up makes more sense, we will say so.
Furnace or boiler — which do I have?
A furnace heats air and blows it through ducts and vents. A boiler heats water for baseboard or radiators. Not sure? Pick "Not sure" on the form and we will figure it out at the visit.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. The visit and the written proposal are free, and there is no obligation.
Can I get help paying for a new furnace?
Financing is available for new equipment, so ask us about options. HEAP also has a heating equipment repair and replacement benefit for eligible homeowners. See our HEAP page.
